Are there too many AA meetings? I asked myself this question again recently after a meeting on a holiday night when attendance at my home group was down to about half a dozen people. The person who was supposed to open up didn't show, nor did our usually reliable coffeemaker. And it was a miracle we even got into the church at all, thanks only to a church employee who happened to wander by and help us.
