Tonight at our intergroup meeting, it was voted to close our central office by a vote of seven to one. Four years ago our district had a dream of opening an office where a suffering alcoholic could call for help and talk to a real live drunk instead of to an impersonal and sometimes unreliable answering service. The groups in the district all voted that this was something needed and that they would support it. I was the GSR of one of those groups.
