I have heard the term "Park Avenue drunk," used more than once in AA meetings. . . I suppose it means the man or woman in AA who was born into what is known as "Society" and who was fortunate enough to have financial security and was protected in such a way that it was impossible for him to kick all this background overboard however hard he tried.
