In an effort to make AA all things to all people, have we taken the power out of the higher power? At meetings you hear God can be the group, a tree, a door knob. Is that the God the Big Book wanted us to find? If the promises are not being fulfilled in your life, and you're still waiting for "the miracle of healing" and "to be restored to sanity," get out your Big Book. If you are willing to believe, mark in it all references to God, higher power, creator, etc. Ask yourself, "Do I have a real relationship with the 'One who has all power'?"
