Adult Accompaniment

A couple of weeks ago, I was answering the phones at our intergroup office when a young voice asked me, "How old do you have to be to come to AA?" I said that age didn't matter, that anyone could come. He asked, "But do you have to be accompanied by an adult?" I assured him it wasn't necessary. He could come with a friend if he wanted, and I asked him how old he was. He said, "Ten." I thought I should get a member in his neighborhood to pick him up and take him to a meeting or talk to him, but when I asked him where he lived he didn't want to tell me.
