On the Grapevine

Two years ago, the Grapevine editors and the volunteer Editorial Advisory Board --prodded by readers' comments, and later by the inventory questionnaire sent to all subscribers in early 1993 --began to take a hard look at the magazine's overall design. We examined our primary purpose, to carry the message to the suffering alcoholic, and asked whether the Grapevine could do that more effectively if it were more contemporary and attractive to new readers. If AA members don't pick the Grapevine up and read it, how can it carry the message?
