Hats Off to Higher Power

Today I realize that I am not in charge. As I look back into my reference library of living experiences, I recall asking a bus driver on a hectic rush-hour morning if his company had a lost-and-found department. I had left my new gym bag on a bus the previous day. The driver took the time to courteously answer my question and jot down the appropriate address and phone number. As the door closed and I watched the bus roll away, I realized I had left my hat on the bus. My Higher Power still has that sense of humor and reminds me, sometimes too often for my liking, not to take myself so seriously.
