The King's English

The language of the heart in AA isn't always, as we describe it in Canada, the King's English! My first contact with AA was in prison, a place where the communication skills required to make your point were mostly couched in street language, or you risked being labeled a freak. The latter years of my drinking took place on Skid Road, where my associates were other drunks like me, scrambling to make the price of a drink, or a drunk, any way possible.
