I came to my first meeting after being sober on my own for three months. In the two years that have now passed, I have realized more and more how sick I was and how much worse I could have become. With the help of AA, the people, the program, my higher power, and some treatment facilities I am able now to have a much more fulfilling life, knowing however that there is still a lot of work ahead. Some time ago, I found that service work would be a healthy part of my program and growth, and I got active. I now am a GSR for my group.
