Happy Birthday!

Four years sober. I never thought I'd live to see the day. On the morning of my sobriety birthday, my wife asked me if there was anything special I wanted to do in celebration. I told her no, that I was going to go to my regular home-group meeting--that my birthday was more of a personal celebration for me. I was looking forward to getting up and speaking at the podium that night, in the presence of people who had helped me get sober.
