Has AA's Magazine Been Left Behind?

Alcoholics Anonymous must be doing something right. With a membership of nearly two million worldwide--and with plenty more on the way--AA has proven in its nearly sixty years to be a powerful means of recovery from alcoholism. And yet even though AA has grown so large, its strength has always remained the understanding and compassion which flows between one alcoholic and another. From its earliest beginnings, AA has been passed on most effectively from one individual to another. Bill and Dr. Bob sat together in the parlor of Henrietta Seiberling's house in Akron, Ohio in 1935. Countless thousands of AAs around the world have sat together since on park benches, in coffee shops, in cars before and after meetings, sharing their experience, strength, and hope--carrying the message one-on-one. And the Fellowship has grown.
