Who Was That Masked Man?
Tradition 11 - Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio and films.
No, it wasn't the Lone Ranger. In fact, when this picture was taken, the subject was less a loner than he'd been in a long while. The man in the mask is an AA member of 1942, and his mask is one solution to the problem of how to tell our stories to the public without breaking anonymity.
