One of the most difficult problems that I have seen AA groups have to deal with in the fourteen plus years that I have been sober is the issue of what to do about actively drinking alcoholics who attend our meetings. One could say, "Why in the world should this be a problem, after all isn't that what the meetings are there for?" Well of course! But sometimes these unfortunate souls who have not been able to grasp the program, for whatever reason, can become quite noisy, boisterous, and yes, even disrupt the meeting.
