To consult, not to contend

A number of years ago, Life Magazine published a special issue commemorating the remarkable and unique American Constitution, noting "Today, in a world where the median age of national charters is approximately fifteen years, the constitution's durability through two centuries of social and political upheaval is unique." Well, equally unique in my book is the endurance of our own Twelve Traditions, especially considering the contumacious personalities of recovering alcoholics.
