An Equal Amount of Grace

Many of the slogans that we use in AA have been helpful to me as I continue to take the actions that are the Steps of the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. For example, when my day becomes hurried or I'm having trouble keeping pace with the rest of the world, "Easy Does It" helps me to slow down, reminds me that I'm not in charge. When things don't work out as I have hoped, and I begin to worry about what will happen tomorrow, next week, or next year, then "One Day at a Time" reminds me how I stopped drinking in the early days and weeks of my sobriety. And this renews my faith that nothing happens in God's world by mistake.
