The Equalizer

The Big Book says that "we are people who normally would not mix." This phrase recently came to mind when I took a trip with a good friend of mine to see a mutual pal. He is a Catholic priest and in retirement; since he is like a grandpa to me, I'll call him "Pops." I am a twenty-year-old non-Catholic university student. But we are both alcoholics and that's all that matters. We can communicate and understand each other on this basis.
