AN AA TRAVELER attended a meeting in a strange town. At the end of the table sat an old-timer who, in response to anything the others shared, would utter such banalities as, "Well, it never rains but it pours," or, "It's a long road that has no turning," or "If life gives you lemons, make lemonade," etc.
