Distilled Spirits

On the anniversary of each year of my sobriety, my sponsor would insist I find one word in the Big Book I could identify with, and then remember the word, paragraph, and page number. So, every year I would read the whole Big Book to come up with an impressive word to illustrate how brilliant I had become--which, I am sure, is exactly the way my sponsor had it planned.
