Those Four-letter Words

When I began speaking from the podium at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, I felt inadequate both as an AA member and as a human being. It didn't seem enough that I was sober. I needed an extra credential, so I chose street talk to enliven my story and make it more believable. I can only imagine how others reacted to my vocabulary. Lord knows, it even startled me sometimes.
