Mother and Child

I'd been in and out of the program for six years when, on my way home one night, I asked God for help. That was in February 1992, and I haven't had to look back since. I moved to Calgary from Winnipeg because there was a halfway house there where I knew I could get the support and guidance I needed. After a while, my home group made me their GSR, and my first responsibility in that position was to attend the area assembly in March 1993.
