Is He One of Us Yet?

Hello, I'm Mike, and I'm an alcoholic. More precisely, I'm a "high-bottom" alcoholic. I got here because of hypertension. I was diagnosed with it in 1988, and by mid-1989, I seemingly had it under control. Then came Christmas and I went on a binge. Family members whom I resented were throwing their weight around, and like any alcoholic, I preferred drinking to actually telling them how I felt. Anyway, what's Christmas for if not drinking?
