The Softening of a Hardened Heart

My relationship with AA was not love at first sight. It took me a long time to realize how much I needed AA and even longer for me to enjoy the Fellowship. I can still remember how I struggled to decide whether or not I belonged there. One week I knew I was an alcoholic and the next week I was talking myself out of it. I had lots of reasons why I didn't need those meetings. But for some reason I kept coming back and my life got better.
