Dear Charlie

I stared at the typewriter and then at my mystery novel in process. I figured I'd catch up on some correspondence as I waited for inspiration. Subconsciously I saw the rejection letter that was sure to come right after I'd submitted my manuscript. My thoughts spun wildly from "Grant me the serenity to accept the rejection" to "Please give me the courage to admit I'm not a writer" to "What is the difference, God? Please show me."
