In the beginning of my drinking, I didn't think alcohol was the problem--everything and everyone else was bringing on the misery and unmanageability. But the AA seed was planted when my son was having behavior problems at school. It was suggested that the cause might be my drinking. Pamphlets were left around in case I wanted help. Instead, I sent my son to the psychiatrist, wanting to believe he was the problem.
