In early sobriety, I was invited to be a tour leader on a lavish trip to Monte Carlo, on Monaco's French Riviera. My sponsor armed me with new good habits of daily prayer and meditation and my Big Book. Before I went, I called GSO and got a local telephone contact, a woman named Pat. Upon arrival, I called Pat and she offered to pick me up and take me to the Sunday afternoon meeting.
