An AA meeting--with cocktails!

I always wanted to take a cruise, so when the opportunity arose to cruise to the Bahamas, I jumped at the chance. I called my sponsor and invited her to go along; we both thought it would be relaxing and fun. I'd been sober seven years and my sponsor had forty years, so we weren't too concerned about the social drinkers we might meet. Well, we were wrong! We discovered as soon as we left port that there was drinking everywhere. Waiters came by carrying trays of drinks and pushed them on everyone in sight. We even had to watch our cakes, cookies, and desserts as they were all loaded up with hootch! Since we couldn't jump ship at this point, we started to ask crew members if there was an AA meeting on board. We were sent to the cruise director's office and were told that there was a Friends of Bill W. group which would meet in the Rendezvous Lounge the following afternoon.
