My job once sent me to Moosonee on James Bay in Ontario. I got the AA telephone number, thinking I could at least have coffee with a member. Upon calling and asking when they had a meeting, the man told me, "Tonight." I got the address and showed up and was informed that I was the guest speaker. The chap had called all five of their members, called the church to get the hall, and convened a special meeting just because I was there. They told me they didn't get many visitors, and when they did, it was important that their small group get experience, strength, and hope that others could bring. I've rarely experienced love or welcoming like that anywhere--only in AA.
