I'm writing to tell you what an inspiration the Grapevine has been for me over the last five years. I moved to Schenectady from Albany and felt really out of place. It was only a ten-mile move but, boy, were things and people different. Couple that with the growing realization that I hurt like the devil and didn't know which end was up, and I was really out of sorts. To make a long story not quite so long, the articles and historical reports in the Grapevine really made AA meaningful for me. The Grapevine allowed me to partake of the love and wisdom of AA at a time when I just wasn't getting it at meetings. I have since made peace with myself and the world (to a greater or lesser extent) and once again feel like I am a member of this Fellowship.
