Let There Be Light!

Last June I was asked by a deaf friend to speak at the weekly deaf AA meeting here (I am a hearing person but sign somewhat fluently). The meeting was to be held at its usual place and time, in a church a few towns away from me. I arrived a little early and enjoyed chatting with people outside while we were waiting for the church doors to be unlocked. We waited and waited, but no one from the church showed up. Being creative alcoholics, we all agreed to have our meeting in the playground in the back of the church. We sat around on the slides and the swings.
