Meeting in a Monastery

In the summer of 1989, a cross-country pilgrimage brought me to a monastery in Utah. I was fulfilling a motorcyclist's dream of traveling by motorcycle throughout Canada and the United States. It was a journey that would eventually end in October after I had made personal retreats at nine different monasteries and traveled over 8,000 miles.
