Keeping the Door Open

The Third Tradition has provided AA the basis for our survival and success. When considering changes and arguments about membership, we need always consider the Third Tradition. As old-timers, we sometimes forget the hard-earned and hard-fought past lessons. Thus, in the name of protecting the program's primary purpose, we are in danger of forgetting or neglecting the Third Tradition. When I came into the program the most impressive aspect the program presented to me was its all-inclusive not exclusive membership requirements.
