Reality Bites

Ouch! Excuse me, I was just having a feeling, unencumbered by the usual numbness brought on by drinking. Now that I'm sober, I'm having to deal with these feeling things on a more frequent basis. My name is Bill and I'm an alcoholic. I've been sober a little over five years. Suffice it to say that my drinking history (i.e., my blackouts and my legal, employment, and relationship difficulties) were of a quality to bring me into AA. I would like to focus on an issue in my recovery that has been most difficult for me.
