It's amazing to me but May 9, 1996 was my sixteenth anniversary without a drink. I want to thank you so very much for publishing "Just How Welcome Are You?" (June 1996). It is seven years since I stopped attending nongay meetings in my area, due to just the type of hurtfulness mentioned in the article. Fortunately the meetings I attend now have good AA roots. But maybe I'll check out a few "straight" meetings in hopes of being included (unlike before).
