Distilled Spirits

Gratitude, unlike relief (which is a respite from striving), is a feeling of joyful acceptance of my life exactly as it is at any given moment: who I am, what I am, where I am. . .as I am. Yet gratitude is more than a feeling. It moves forward into action--chairing, sharing, helping the fellow sufferer, newcomer or old salt.
