Seeing Things Differently

When my counselor recommended that I attend ninety AA meetings in ninety days following my discharge from the treatment center, my reaction was, "You've got to be joking." Not after spending the last twenty-eight days in a hospital glued to a chair in non-stop meetings ten hours a day! As Mark outlined my life for the next three months, I kept my mouth shut, listened, and nodded, while I privately thought "Not a chance--I've got better things to do. I have to get on with my life."
