AA Around the World

Adapted from the Final Report of the 14th World Service Meeting, held in New York City, October 1996

For five days at the end of October 1996, the World Service Meeting (WSM) of Alcoholics Anonymous convened in New York City. This is the fourteenth such biennial meeting, the first having taken place in 1969. Attendees included forty-three delegates from twenty-six countries and "zones" around the world, including Argentina, Australia, Flemish-speaking Europe, Great Britain, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, and Russia.
