Growing into Sobriety
When I was a little girl about ten years old, I had a bad cold and my mother gave me a hot toddy as a home remedy. I can still remember how good it was and how I tried to convince my mother that I really needed another one. I once asked my mother about this, and she told me I'd tried faking a cough for weeks afterwards. My reaction to alcohol has never been normal.
