Distilled Spirits

Through the Twelve Steps I build a relationship with God. I trust him, talk to him, listen to him, and share my feelings. I especially have gratitude for the pain because then I can be aware of what to change. Today I know I've always had everything I needed and always will. I am content with that; I do not need more. What I need is a loving God. Thanking my Higher Power for all the gifts he gives me daily keeps me humble. (Gifts Offered Daily.) The pain of the fantasy and resistance then leaves.
