Cave Dwellers Anonymous

My first day in Alcoholics Anonymous seemed, at the time, to be the worst day of my life. I was hung over, miserable, confused, and scared. I'd been "intervened upon" by a U.S. Navy drug and alcohol counselor. At the conclusion of the interview he had said to me, "My gut feeling is that your drinking is more severe than you're saying."
