Anything is Possible in AA
My awareness of "Special Needs" started with the International Convention in Seattle, 1990. I hooked up with my friend Pappy and at that time he was having a breathing problem. If he walked too much he needed oxygen. My job was to push Pappy in his wheelchair with his oxygen bottle. My wife, Kathy, was with her sponsee Marie, an older woman who was blind and carried a white cane. Also with us were friends Ron and Barb. Barb was in the middle stages of a form of Parkinson's Disease and was in a wheelchair, too.
