I'm so grateful to Chris B.'s article "Death Interrupted" (April 1996) because it pinpointed many things I myself struggle with. Some of these things include thinking that I need to overexaggerate my story in order to feel I fit in. I also have a hard time identifying with alcoholics who've had a longer drinking career than I have. I haven't experienced many of the things they're talking about and I sometimes fear that I haven't had enough pain in the course of my active alcoholism to keep me sober.
