Telling the Truth About Ourselves

Some time back, I had the opportunity to chair a meeting in which two old-timers spoke. They told about how conditions were for the alcoholic when they got sober. In those days, they said, alcoholics couldn't find many needed services such as medical care, psychiatric care, etc. These old-timers shared with us how they had worked very hard to change that picture and carry the AA message to the professionals of their time.
