Tonight I went to my home group's Wednesday night AA meeting. I've been going to meetings since 1981 when I was twenty-seven and have been sober since April 19, 1982. I'm now the ripe middle age of forty. As I was sitting at the large group table before the meeting, talking to one of the gals I sponsor and to my other girlfriend who has been sober twenty-one years, three young girls walked into the church hall.
