Our district allowed me to hold a workshop with AAs who wanted to be on the committee, and I formed the committee that night. I also arranged a meeting with the staff of our local facility and asked the area chairperson to do a presentation on how the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous worked, and what we could and could not do. The staff listened with an open mind and the facility was no longer ignorant of how AA worked.
