I know where you see God

One of the greatest gifts I have received in sobriety is, without a doubt, my relationship with my little boy. Not unlike most children of alcoholic parents, he was emotionally abandoned and left to do his growing up on his own. It was a pretty tough road for a kid who wasn't yet eight years old yet. He watched, sad and confused, as his mom sat on the couch pouring booze down her throat. I was one of those "good mothers" who drank at home.
