The first thing that happened this morning was that my toilet bowl overflowed. Mopping up the floor, I thought what a rotten way to start a day. I went downstairs and discovered that the water had come down all over the kitchen table and floor. As I was cleaning the water up, the kitchen light bulb blew out. After I changed the bulb the phone rang. I was told that our local AA office had been broken into last night. Nothing was taken; just minor vandalism. Oh great, I thought, this is one of those days where everything goes wrong. I continued to go through the soaking wet papers and magazines that were on the kitchen table and picked up my dripping wet issue of the Grapevine; it was the February 1997 issue. The cover said, "My Worst Day Sober."
