An honest amend

In November 1973, a kind and loving God told me I didn't have to be a drunk anymore. A few months later as I was studying the Twelve Steps, he reminded me that the time had come to begin to make amends. The thought of going to people to ask forgiveness and sincerely offer to make amends, was initially scary but I knew I was different now. I was honest and sincere, not just faking it, and I would gladly do whatever was needed to keep the peace of mind that had come with sobriety.
