Practice These Principles
Whenever I see people fleeing from the opportunity to hear a discussion about the Traditions, it gives me pause for thought. I recall some things I witnessed in AA before the Twelve Traditions were accepted at our first International Convention in July 1950. I was part of the discussion our group had about the Traditions, which had been suggested but not yet accepted by the membership as a whole. We were encouraged to talk about them and send back any suggestions or changes we wished to recommend. This was early in April 1950.
