Grow or Go

I was seventeen years old and knew deep down I was different from my fellows. Having never tried because of fear, I believed I couldn't not drink even though I said I could. I "volunteered" for a treatment center after some loving encouragement from a high school counselor who said, "Go to treatment or don't come back here." At the center, I was introduced to my first Alcoholics Anonymous meeting--the Monday Night Young Peoples Group.
