The Doctor's Dilemma

My name is Shree and I'm an alcoholic. I'd been sober quite a while when I landed at the airport in Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands in September 1995. I'd been offered a job as a surgeon at the local government hospital on a three-month probationary contract and I was supposed to start on the following Monday morning. This was the job I'd been waiting for for over a year. I needed it very badly and I was willing to go to any length to get it. The three-month probationary period was going to be very critical to my future.
